Fully covered.

Every myvanture campervan is fully insured from the very first night. The basic insurance with comprehensive cover (Vollkasko), third-party liability, and Europe-wide VW mobility guarantee is always included in the rental price. If you want to reduce your excess, choose the Extension Package (1,000 €) or the Carefree Package (300 €).

Per claim
The excess applies separately per claim. If multiple incidents occur during one rental, the excess applies individually to each one.
Processing fee
For each claim we charge a processing fee of 59 € in addition to the excess, to cover claim-handling administration.
Minor damage
Damage whose repair costs fall below the excess amount will be charged in full.
Not covered by comprehensive insurance
Damage to camping fixtures (e.g. awnings), vehicle damage caused by camping fixtures, and interior damage are not covered by the comprehensive insurance (Vollkasko).
Processing fees

Other fees.

When damage, soiling, or missing accessories occur, administrative work is required on our end — for example coordinating with insurers, repair workshops, and assessors. The processing fee compensates for exactly this effort and is charged in addition to the actual restoration costs.

Insurance, clarified.

  • How are myvanture campervans insured?
    The rental price includes basic insurance: comprehensive + liability with a €2,500 deductible, plus Europe-wide VW mobility guarantee. With the Extension package (+€19 / night), the deductible drops to €1,000, and with the Carefree package (+€29 / night), it's reduced to €300.
  • How high is the excess?
    The excess depends on the package you choose: 2,500 € with the Basic insurance, 1,000 € with the Extension Package, and 300 € with the Carefree Package. You select the excess during the booking process.
  • Is a mobility guarantee included?
    Yes. The Europe-wide VW mobility guarantee is already included in the Basic insurance — and therefore in every rental price — across all three packages.
  • When can I choose my insurance cover?
    You choose your insurance cover (Basic, Extension, or Carefree) directly in the booking process, together with your pick-up time, cancellation conditions, and additional services.
  • How high is the security deposit?
    The security deposit is 800 € and is placed as a hold on your credit card. The amount is only reserved — not charged — and is released after the damage inspection at the time of return.
  • What should I do if there is a claim?
    Document the damage (photos), secure the accident site, and contact our team — during our service hours, you can reach us personally; in an emergency on the road, via the emergency hotline 7 days a week. We'll guide you through the process. The procedure is identical for all packages — with the Extension and Carefree packages, your deductible is only lower in case of damage (€1,000 or €300). We also charge a processing fee of €59 per claim.
