Renting a Campervan: Here's How It Works!
Dreaming of van life but don't have a camper? No problem! At myvanture, you can rent your campervan super easily. Here's how:

1. Rent a Campervan via Online Booking
Before every trip, you first ask yourself:
- Where are you going?
- Where do you want to start?
- When will the trip take place?
- Which vehicle is suitable for the road trip?
Once you've answered these questions, you can start your online booking with myvanture.
Step 1: Choose Your Rental Station
myvanture rental stations are located conveniently near you. In Austria, you'll find them in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Klagenfurt, Innsbruck / Seefeld, and Reutte.
In Germany, you can pick up your campervan in Singen / Aach, Amberg, Konstanz, Lahr, and Marktoberdorf.
If you want to start your road trip right in the heart of the Alps, you can pick up your camper directly at the rental location in Bolzano. You can find an overview of all rental stations on our website at any time.
Step 2: Select Your Campervan
Whether you're traveling alone, with your best friend, or with the whole family, choosing the right model isn't always easy.
If you need plenty of space and want to be self-sufficient on the road, we recommend the VW Grand California. It's the largest and most versatile model in our fleet.
This campervan features a wet room with a shower and toilet, a double bed, and many other camping amenities that make self-sufficient travel much easier.
Whether you're heading to Norway, Croatia, or Switzerland – with this model, you're ready for any adventure.
Would you prefer something simpler and more compact? Then you should consider the VW California Beach, Coast, or the VW Multivan.
The myvanture team will be happy to help you find the right campervan for you.
Step 3: Enter Your Travel Dates
The next step in myvanture's online booking process is selecting your travel dates.
Before you start your trip, find out which travel time is recommended for your destination.
If you want to avoid crowds, you should rent a campervan and travel during the pre-season or off-season. This offers numerous advantages.
In addition to the different seasons, there are also so-called "Brückentage" (bridge days/long weekends) that you can use to extend your holiday.
We've created an overview for you here:

Step 4: Find an Alternative
Is your desired campervan no longer available at your preferred rental station for your chosen dates? Would you like to pick up your campervan earlier or have a special request?
Then get in touch with the myvanture team for personalized advice.
Generally, we recommend renting your campervan early enough. However, spontaneous road trips are also possible. You can rent a campervan up to two days before departure, provided a vehicle is still available.
Step 5: Choose Your Camping Accessories
With just one click during online booking, you can add extra accessories like camping chairs, a bedding set, a bike rack, or a kitchen box. The accessories will be ready for you when you pick up your campervan.
Step 6: Schau-aufs-Land Membership
If you're traveling through Austria and want to stay at special pitches like farms, wineries, or local businesses, then a Schau-aufs-Land membership might be interesting for you.
In the app, you'll find all the regional businesses that offer a pitch.
With the membership, you don't have to pay anything on-site. However, we kindly ask you to show your appreciation by making a purchase at the farm shop or during a wine tasting.
Two weeks before your departure with your camper, you'll receive access details for the app and can view the map with numerous pitches.

2. Online Check-in
Your trip is about to begin!
To make your campervan pickup quick and easy, we offer online check-in.
You'll receive access to it five days before departure. Here, you can double-check your personal details, finalize the rental agreement, deposit the security deposit, add additional drivers, and watch the vehicle explanation videos.
Rent a Campervan and Add Additional Drivers
Is your best friend joining you on your trip? That's great! On a long road trip, we recommend switching drivers to prevent fatigue. At myvanture, you can add additional drivers free of charge during online check-in.
Explanation Videos
Before you embark on your campervan trip, you should be thoroughly informed about the vehicle you're renting.
Therefore, take the time to watch our videos carefully.
All special features like the cool box, gas hob, power supply, water supply, and much more are explained in detail here. If you still have any questions, you can contact myvanture's camping experts at any time.
3. Campervan Pickup
The day of departure has arrived. Your rental agreement shows the address of the myvanture rental station and the pickup time. Our team will be waiting for you and will have the campervan clean and fully fueled.
All our campers come equipped with the standard accessory box. This box contains warning vests, a 230V extension cable, power supply adapter, trash bags, a microfiber cloth, and car interior cleaner.
After the key handover, your camping trip finally begins.
Nevertheless, you should check your campervan again before departure.
- Memorize the vehicle dimensions and note any deviations due to mounted bike racks, awnings, or roof racks.
- Secure all loose items inside the vehicle.
- Close and lock the pop-up roof according to the operating instructions (exception: VW Multivan).
- Close all flaps, drawers, and cabinet doors.
- Fully retract the awning.
- Disconnect the 230-volt power supply.
- Remove all interior blackout covers and open all blackout blinds.
If something isn't going as planned during pickup or you can't find the rental station, please contact the myvanture team in good time!

Stuck in traffic? It happens. Please call the myvanture team directly! Upon return, the campervan must be fully fueled and clean so that the next renter can also look forward to it.
The standard accessory box and kitchen box should also be returned complete and clean.
Finally, the vehicle will be inspected, inside and out, for any changes since the start of the rental. If no changes to the vehicle are noted during documentation, the security deposit will be released and will appear in your account within a few business days.
